Student Forum
The Student Forum is FECH’s flagship annual gathering – a vibrant space where students from North Macedonia and across the region come together to learn, connect, and reimagine their role in shaping society. Created as a platform for inspiration, empowerment, and collective thinking, the Forum brings young people into conversations that matter: accountability, student rights, democratic participation, and the future of higher education. The first edition took place in March 2024 with the generous support of the National Endowment for Democracy, bringing together students from multiple countries for discussions, interactive workshops, and meaningful exchanges.
The second edition, held in May 2025, deepened the conversation by exploring the frustrations and challenges students face within a system they increasingly feel is failing them — and the ways they can organize to change it. Across its two editions, the Student Forum has welcomed over 200 participants from North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, and Greece, building a regional network of young leaders committed to integrity, courage, and civic engagement. More than an event, the Student Forum is becoming a movement — a space where students find their voice, discover their power, and connect with others determined to shape a more just and transparent future.
